Our company is intimately familiar with the design, construction and installation of fuel storage and distribution facilities on multiple levels. During our 40 year history, we have literally designed and permitted thousands of these facilities all over the USA. Employees of our firm have also overseen fuel projects as an owner's representative.
Our experience with fuel begins at the pipeline terminal, the traditional point of receipt for major oil company marketing departments, and ends at the nozzle that fills the customer's vehicle at a retail fuel station. This gives us a specialized, unique perspective of the fuel supply system.
We have completed projects at pipeline terminals throughout the Continental USA and
Hawaii. Pipeline terminal projects have included pipeline receipt manifolds, pumping
batte
ry stations, floating roof storage tanks, pipe distribution systems, transport
loading/unloading racks, marine loading docks, storm water treatment systems, spill
containment, vapor combustion/vapor recovery units, additive injection systems and
Oil Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plans.
M&A has designed and permitted fleet fueling, wash and maintenance facilities as well as alternative fueling facilities including CNG, LNG and Ethanol fuels for institutional and government clients. We have also designed and permitted massive fuel supply systems for emergency power generators at hospitals and power supply facilities.
Moving on to retail fuel stations, we have designed, permitted, acted as owner's representatives for major oil companies, Quick Service Restaurants (QSRs) and hyper marketers. These facilities have included various components such as Underground Storage Tanks (USTs)-(steel, clad steel, fiberglass, double-walled fiberglass), Above Ground Storage Tanks (ASTs), Vaulted ASTs, fiberglass piping systems (single and double- walled) and flexible piping systems (single and double-walled). Many of these facilities required specialized, customized designs to comply with local regulatory requirements.
Our design professionals hold licensure in multiple states and are familiar with regulatory requirements for fuel storage facilities all across the United States, Alaska and Hawaii. Some of our employees have completed certification training by petroleum equipment manufactures such as Veeder Root ® and some have completed UST License A Installer/Repair training and UST License B Closure training.
Due to the nature of our specialization, we have extensive, current regulatory contacts at Federal, State and local levels with regard to petroleum and air quality issues. We subscribe to environmental and regulatory notification services that alert us to the ever-changing regulatory environment of the petroleum industry. Our firm is a member of the Petroleum Equipment Institute (PEI). One of our principals has written guest articles for the National Petroleum News and is featured as an On-Line Expert for that industry periodical. We regularly attend industry meetings and technical seminars at the National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS), PEI and other industry annual meetings.
